Brief Encounter



Sakura or cherry blossom is intimately identified with Japanese culture. For centuries it has been an enduring metaphor for the ephemeral nature of life and symbolises transience and nobility. The fleeting spirit of the Japanese spring is captured during a journey from the festivities around the cherry blossom up to the still snowy mountains in early spring.
