As Covid-19 drastically altered our personal lives and our wider world, our temperature became a sign of potential infection - a danger to ourselves and to others.

All these images were taken in Istanbul, Bradley's adopted home. They highlight how the perceived threat of the novel coronavirus can come from everywhere, and from everyone, and how our familiar habits and surroundings suddenly became potential sources of anxiety.

Throughout the pandemic, as fear and anxiety spread from city streets into our living spaces, Bradley documented his daily life with a thermal camera, bringing the invisible ponytail of viral infection to life.

The second halves of the diptychs are made from screenshots of Turkey's Ministry of Health Covid-19 contact tracing app, showing how the virus was spreading around Istanbul at a time when Turkey was seeing the third highest number of infections in the world in late 2020, early 2021.
