Giacomo Pirozzi is an Italian photographer. Trained as a sociologist, he became a professional photographer in 1990, working for UNICEF and other development agencies.



He lived in Ivory Coast, Kenya and South Africa for 17 years and has travelled and photographed in 120 countries in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe, and Africa.



Prior books include: 'C'est ma taille qui m'a sauvé', 1997, on recovery processes for children following the Rwandan genocide; 'Children of Africa', 1999, to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Convention on Children's Rights; 'Portraits of Children of the Indian Ocean', 2010; 'A Journey with Children', 2011, on children living and working on the streets in the Philippines.
