36 year old Rafeza Khatun fled an island a few days after Cyclone Aila hit Bangladesh in May 2009. "All the embankments were broken down and the salt water came into our village and the rest of the area. After the storm all the roads were damaged, we had no food or clothing and for three days we were not eating. After a while, some of my relatives living in the town of Satkhira gave me some light food, and we had enough for two days." she says. The sea in the Bay of Bengal is rising, affecting the hundreds of thousands of villagers living on the low islands in the south.
