Potosi, BOLIVIA

A bag containing coca leaves hangs from the belt of a miner inside the Colquechaquita (Anthill of Riches) silver and zinc mine on Cerro Rico mountain. They chew the coca throughout the day to stave off hunger and thirst, allowing them to work throughout the day without pausing for a lunch break.
