A boy touches a Stingray, a British manufactured torpedo used by the Romanian military, on display on the tourist promenade during the Navy Day. During the celebrations some navy ships and their weapons were opened to the public and while the military hardware is generally rusty and mostly from the Soviet era, the authorities are hoping that as well as entertaining the seaside tourists they may also convince some young people to join the navy as full time professionals.
