Ben Gurion Airport, Israel

A child pushing a trolly loaded with luggage in the arrivals hall in at Ben Gurion Airport. The 240 Falash Mura (this is the Hewbrewised term for forcibly converted Beta-Israel) were the first group to arrive in Israel, in Operation 'Dove's Wings', after waiting for ten years in an immigration camp in Gondar, Ethiopia. The Falash Mura are said to be Ethiopians whose Jewish ancestors were forcefully converted to Christianity by missionaries during the 19th and 20th Centuries. In 2011 the Israeli Government decided to allow them to migrate.
