A cow grazes amid the bombed out remains of a building owned by the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), an Indian state-owned mining enterprise, in Bhansi village, Dantewada district. Naxalite (Maoist) insurgents destroyed the complex of buildings in protest of the mining company's forcible acquisition of tribal peoples' agricultural land.
