A CT scan of Victoria's head taken at the Annapurna Neurological Institute in Kathmandu. Since birth the growing amount of water inside her skull has been putting the cranium under pressure from within. It has expanded and is now larger than the head of a grown man. The bone structure has not grown at the same speed. As a result, the top of her head is only covered by skin. 19 month old Victoria (formerly named Ghane) was born with hydrocephalus and was left abandoned. Cecilie Hansen was so moved by the story of Ghane she read in a Danish newspaper that she decided to fly to Kathmandu to try to assist her and show her the love of another human being; Cecilie eventually became her legal guardian. Victoria died on November 19 2010 from heart failure.
