A father and son light candles near the grave of Rashbi (Rabbi Simeon bar Yohai or Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochay) on Mount Meron in north Israel. Rashbi is considered to have been the author of the Zohar (The Brightness), the principal book of the Kabbalah branch of ancient Jewish mysticism. The grave compound attracts many pilgrims from all over Israel, who come here to pray and make wishes.
