Most textile workers in Bangladesh earn little more than the minimum wage which is set at 3,000 taka (approx. GBP 25). Around 4 million people, mainly women, work in the garment industry in Bangladesh, the second largest in the world. The industry is worth around GBP 12.5 billion a year.
