A fisherman with his oil lamps, all marked so they can be identified as his when they are left out on the lake. The lamps are used at night to attract small fish by fishermen on Lake Mweru.
At around five o'clock in the afternoon, fishermen prepare to go out on Lake Mweru. They use floating oil lamps to attract small fish at night. In the morning they return to land with their catch. The fish, a sardine-like variety, are a delicacy sold as far away as Lubumbashi.
