A Frontex van equipped with thermal vision scans the Turkish-Greek border for migrants trying to make an illegal border crossing. The EU border patrol agency is making special efforts to catch the traffickers who accompany the migrants. According to UNHCR, 38,992 immigrants arrived in Greece in the first 10 months of 2010, whereas in 2009 the number was only 7,574. A poster in the window shows prices to travel to Athens. According to Frontex, around 245 people tried to cross the border illegally every night during October.
