A girl hoping to identify the bodies of relatives found in the wreckage of a coastal train, the 'Queen of the Sea', which was derailed by the tsunami which struck South Asia on 26/12/2004. Over 1,000 people were killed in what is believed to be the world's worst rail accident. Rescue workers tried to find the remaining bodies, which included some villagers who had climbed on top of the train to escape the wave, by their smell. An underwater earthquake measuring 9 on the Richter scale triggered a series of tidal waves which caused devastation when they struck dry land. 12 countries were affected by the tsunami, with a combined death toll of over 150,000.
