A Jewish worshipper praying over the grave of Rabbi Isaac Luria (also known as Ha'ari Hakadosh or Ari Ha-Kadosh) at the old Jewish cemetery in the northern city of Safed. Many notable figures of the Kabbalah branch of ancient Jewish mysticism are buried here. Rabbi Isaac Luria wrote a prominent commentary on the Zohar (The Brightness), the principal book of Kabbalah, and is considered to have revolutionised the study of Jewish mysticism in the 16th century.
