A man carries his daughter from an evacucation centre at Thammasat University that was overwhelmed by flood water. Large parts of central and northeastern Thailand have been severely affected by the worst flooding for seventy years. More than 650 people have died and thousands made homeless by the floods. Initially they were triggered by tropical storm Nock-ten and exacerbated by La Nina which caused a lengthened rainy season.
