Nana-Grebizi, CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC

A man going to farm his land, holds a machete as he stands outside of a shelter built in the forest, near the village of Bamtara. His family have lived there since 2009 when Bamtara was burned down by armed attackers and its residents fled into the forest. In northern Central African Republic an estimated 125,000 people have fled into the forests following attacks by marauding armed groups. The region's poor infrastructure and lack of security means that international humanitarian organisations face a formidable task in supplying aid to the local population.
