Koye Tajaba, ETHIOPIA

A man holds mud from a pond in Koye Tajaba Village, an area where there is a critical water shortage. After the rainy season ends this pond is the local population's only water supply. The water is dirty and the only treatment used by locals to to pour it through a cloth. When the pond drys out, usually after 2 months, they face a 12 hour return trip to the nearest river.
