A man sits on the ground waiting to try his prosthetic leg at an orthopaedic workshop for amputees, run by aid agency Handicap International. He was injured when a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti on 12/01/2010 killing more than 200,000 people and injuring more than 300,000. Handicap International estimates that between 2,000 and 4,000 new amputees were caused by the earthquake.
