A Nyau dancer in Waenera village performs a Gule Wankulu (a spiritual dance). Nyau are secret societies or brotherhoods initiation into which confers adulthood onto adolecent Chewa males. Their ritual masked dances are performed at various ceremonies and even at touristic and cultural events.
