Cape Town, SOUTH AFRICA

A plea for racial tolerance and strength in diversity. Following xenophobic attacks and violence, thousands of Capetonians staged a protest outside parliament calling for an end to the attacks on foreign African migrants living in the country. Up to 20,000 have been displaced in Cape Town and are being sheltered in temporary accomodation until the threats subside, and they can either move back to the communities they fled from, or repatriate to their home countries.
