A portrait of Roger De Vlaeminck, the cycling star who famously battled with fellow Flemish racer Eddy Merckx throughout his career. De Vlaeminck was one of only three riders to win all five 'Monument Classics', the others being fellow Flemish riders Rik van Looy and Eddy Merckx. De Vlaeminck was a poor climber and never finished the Tour de France, but he was unmatched over the cobbles of Northern France and Flanders, winning the Paris-Roubaix four times (once more than Eddy Merckx) and earning himself the nickname "Monsieur Paris-Roubaix".
