A woman and her baby from the Warao indigenous indian tribe, collect water at a shelter in a gymnasium housing both the Warao and non-indigenous Venezuelans. Her family is from the state of Delta Amacuro, where Warao tribe lives, but have been living for three months at the shelter. Her entire family came together travelling by bus for a month.

Pushed out of their home region by violence resulting from drug trafficking, which the Maduro government is too weak to address, the Warao are among thousands of refugees who have fled to Brazil since the political and economic crisis began in Venezuela.
