An armed police officer demonstrate a de-escalation scenario for visitors from American police forces at Police Scotland's Jackton training centre. Police leaders from across the U.S. visted the United Kingdom to speak with Scotland's police on how to fight crime without firearms, and using de-escalation techniques.The Scottish police for the most part, save for some special units, do not use firearms.The trip was organised and run by the Police Executive Research Forum, which is based in Washington, D.C., and led by Chuck Wexler, a man who has developed a national voice over the use of force by American policing agencies.
