In the 2016 referendum on Britain's membership of the EU, the Boston district produced the highest pro-Brexit vote, 75.6% per cent of the popular vote on a high turnout of 77.2%. The neighbouring Fenland district of South Holland, was the second highest district favouring Brexit.
