An IOM (International Organisation of Migration) chartered barge carrying 450 Dinka tribespeople stops on the banks of the White Nile as it makes its way back to the Dinkas tribal homeland of Bor. Members of the Munbdari tribe come and watch the spectacle. This is following the signing of the comprehensive peace agreement (CPA) between the North and South of the country. The international organisation of migration (IOM) is using the White Nile and the barges that normally transport livestock up and down the country to move large displaced southern Sudanese populations back to homes. This programme is hoping to put more than a decade of war and displacemnt to an end.
