Beekeepers Chris Barnes and Paul Webb inspect their hives kept on top of Cafe Spice Nameste in the City of London. This is the final hive inspection, to check for disease or other problems, before the hives are shut up for winter and the bee's hibernation. London beekeepers Chris Barnes and Paul Webb (Barnes and Webb) are two of the UK's 44,000 beekeepers. They keep their hives on the roofs of buildings in London's CIty and East End. Paul says of beekeeping that: 'Both Chris and I have a passion for nature. To be able to have that direct relationship with an animal and learn more about its fascinating behaviour whilst still being in the city is very special.'
