Jiggan, North West Frontier Province (NWFP), PAKISTAN
Budleajan, along with many other people in the village of Jiggan, is still living in temporary housing three months on from the 2005 Kashmir earthquake. The road to the mountain village was destroyed in the quake and is now closed so the residents of this village have to walk for several hours to get down to the valley. Budleajan's son, Gulam, was also killed in the disaster. The 7.6 magnitude quake that hit the area on 8th October 2005 killed over 80,000 people.
