Coffee from Gerardo Castro Jimenez's estate is measured (by volume) after being gathered by all the workers employed by Gerardo's family. The amount of coffee each worker gathered is written down for payment purposes and then the coffee is taken by truck to a pick up point, where bigger trucks will take it to the cooperative. 600 small coffee farmers in this area are members of the Coopellano Bonito cooperative, enabling them to get a better price for their coffee.
