Cyclists fill up on hot food and fluids at a roadside rest tent during the 'Big Strength Test' cycle race. More than 4534 cyclists set out to complete the hardest bicycle race in Norway. The race is 540 km long, and starts in the northern town of Trondheim. Then the route climbs to over 1,000 meters above sea level, before it assending into the Gulbrandsdalen valley. The finishing point is in Oslo. The 2007 ride was a made in constant rain and the temperature fell as low as 7 degrees celcius. Of the 4534 riders who started in Trondheim, 613 did not make it to Oslo. Most professional racers finish in about 14 hours, while the slowest riders can take more than two days.
