Dr Ernest Okoli (33) talks to a mother as he gives her sick child medication. Soldiers provide security in a territory where the surrounding hills are still occupied by the Islamist group Boko Haram. The arrival of two doctors and some medical supplies is the town's first access to medical treatment since the army ousted Boko Haram in 2015. However, it was left largely destroyed and there is little food and almost no medical facilities. Humanitarian organisations can currently only reach the town by helicopter making its reconstruction almost impossible.
