Five year old Arif wears an eye patch to protect his eye, having recently returned home after a cataract operation. A Childhood Cataract Campaign funded by Sight Savers International has enabled young people blinded by cataracts to have operations to restore their sight. The charity works with local partners to combat blindness and to support the blind.
