Food and relief supplies, including sacks of lentils from the USA, being handed out in the wake of the flood. Food distribution remains difficult, with some aid supplies having been stolen by gangsters. Three weeks after tropical storm Jeanne hit Gonaives parts of the city are still flooded. Over 2700 people were reported dead or missing. Haiti is particularly vulnerable to flooding after heavy rainfall due to intense deforestation.
