Girls read at school in the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in the village of Navabad, Northern Afghanistan, near the Kalakata front line. The school was built in 1976 and hosts 1,000 refugee students, half of whom are female. Girls attend classes in the morning and boys in the evening.
