Graveyard and house built with remittances from Britain in the town of Kharak in Mirpur. This is one of the many towns and villages that is threatened with being submerged if plans for extension of the Mangla Dam go ahead. At least 75% of the Pakistani community living in Britain have their roots in and around the Mirpur District of Azad Kashmir, a total of over 300,000 people who maintain very close links between their present homes and area of origin.
