Hani Arnout (34) and Trevor Leahong, share a joke while painting a home in Otterly. Trevor is a local painter and decorator and gives Hani, a handyman by trade, work whenever he can. The Arnout family, originally from Syria, have been supported in their resettlement by the UK Community Sponsorship scheme which helps refugees make relationships with local people as a means of helping them adjust to their new life in Britain. Hani and his wife, Ameh, moved via resettlement from Jordan to Devon with their son and a daughter. They now have a third child, born in Devon.
