Ibrahim Fofana, 22, from Gambia, photographed in the Search and Rescue zone approximately 25 nautical miles from the coast of Libya, in international waters in the Mediterranean Sea.'Life in Libya was very difficult. At the border some Arabs attacked us and killed three people. They took all our phones and took us to a place called Sabha, which was terrible. They come with their guns and take you to work. For up to one week you will not return. You will do hard labour and they will not give you water, they will not give you food. I stayed there almost two months, treated like a slave, in a house you cannot leave. That's why we decided to do the sea crossing. We had to escape.'
