Myanmar, BURMA

In the wake of Cyclone Nargis, people queue for donated food (rice and fish curry) in the poor Pan Hlaing area of Yangon (Rangoon). The donor is a famous Burmese actor, Kyaw Thu, who normally runs a charity that provides burial services free of charge. He is much loved and nicknamed 'the father of the nation', but is viewed with much suspicion by the Junta. Cyclone Nargis hit Burma on 02/05/2008.
