Masai Mara National Park, KENYA

Jeff Natekinye ole Sadera (28). During the day he works as a tour guide, showing tourists all the wild animals which previous generations of Masai used to hunt because they were a threat to their cattle. Jeff in traditional outfit with two tourists during a lunch break in the National Park. Jeff keeps an eye on the surroundings. Masai communities are living on the edges of the National Park. Traditionally they move around with their cattle and goats and sheep. But urbanization, expanding agricultural sector on one hand and the National Park on the other, their space is diminishing. In dry seasons they are forced to graze their animals inside the National Park, despite the risk to be fined by the Rangers.
