Khusti wrestlers wait to fight at a wrestling Akhara. Pehlwani, or kusti is a form of wrestling from South Asia that developed during the Mughal era by combining native malla-yuddha with influences from Persian koshti pahlavani. A practitioner of this sport is referred to as a pehlwan.
