Madeleine Fullard from the Missing Persons Task Team places Siphiwo Lande's dentures with the rest of his remains in a coffin prior to being returned to his family. The dentures helped the team to confirm Lande's identity. Siphiwo Lande was executed in 1988 aged 22. He had been convicted of murdering a policeman.
The Missing Persons Task Team was established to recover the remains of those who disappeared under the Apartheid regime using forensic anthropological and DNA-testing techniques.
