Dobra, POLAND

Men walk across snow-covered fields during the Easter Procession in Dobra, Eastern Wielkopolska.
For over 150 years this festival has taken place on Easter Monday. Known as Emmaus or "meus", as it's called locally, the festival is in memory of the Biblical story of the Apostles' journey to Emmaus. Similar festivities take place in other parts of the country, but they only walk around the Church, whilst in Dobra, all of the 15 roadside shrines located in the parish area are visited. It also differentiates itself from other Emmaus processions by the fact that only men participate.
