Migrants from the Horn of Africa walking alongside the road between Harad and Sadaa, near the Saudi border, with the aim of entering the rich gulf state. The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has raised concerns over the record numbers of Ethiopians and Somalis flocking to Yemen, despite the deteriorating security situation there. In 2011 103,000 migrants crossed the Gulf of Aden and Red Sea. Most arrive dehydrated and malnourished and face physical and sexual attacks. They are regularly robbed and attacked by smugglers and traffickers.
