Milan Andahannadiga (23): I learned to surf when I was nine years old. Now I'm one of the best surfers in Sri Lanka. I am happy in the sea. Sometimes I just go swimming on my own and in winter, when the waves are smaller, I go deep sea fishing with my friends every night. [On the day of the tsunami] I was at the beach with my brother, playing. He grabbed me by the arm and took me to our house which is on a inland, on a hill. Our house was untouched by the tsunami, the water didn't reach there. I'm still very grateful to my brother. He probably saved my life. A month later, I returned to the sea. It's my life - I can't help it.
