Noredine Safi, born in Belgium in 1968, is a pilgrim to The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, one of the most popular Catholic pilgrimage sites in the world. "Years ago, I was in a cemetery when God and his son Jesus spoke to me, and that was really not a hallucination. I do penance for the mistakes I made in the past. This way I hope to get into heaven. For some years now, I am living as a poor pilgrim. I am homeless and live in a tent. Sometimes they chase me away. On the street I beg for money. The poor give the rich a chance to do good. I am now hesitating whether to continue my pilgrimage or start an ordinary life again."
