Nuer children under a mosquito net early in the morning, with their families' cattle resting nearby. The owners light small fires fuelled by cow dung in the 'cattle camp', so that the smoke keeps tsetse flies away. After sunrise the young boys will escort the cows to their grazing grounds. Cattle are the most important asset to the nomadic people of southern Sudan.
