Buja Mathow, KENYA

Pastoralists complain that they lose many cattle because of drought. For the last two years the area has not received rain. Oxfam/Novib and Oxfam GB have started relief aid for the poorest, including rehabillitation of the water points that are essential for pastoralists. Local communities, or host communities as most NGO's call them, are worried that refugees from Somalia will use the scarcest resources, which may cause conflicts. Meanwhile, Aden Barre, middle, is using the Oxfam renovated water point for his camels.
