As the campaign for the 2013 Federal Election begins, the SPD held a rally they labelled the 'Deutschland Fest', an event to mark the 150th anniversary of the founding of the party. A federal election is due to take place on 22 September 2013 to determine the make-up of the 18th Bundestag, Germany's legislative body.
