Goma, North Kivu, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO

People entering and leaving the Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) tent in the Kibati camp for displaced people must wash their hands with chlorine water. MSF started a cholera treatment centre after cholera was diagnosed in the local health centre. Due to the new influx of displaced people after violence, Kibati camp is now overcrowded and the water and sanitation situation is deteriorating. An outbreak of cholera could be a further threat to many lives.
