Port-au-Prince, HAITI

Pierre Mankeson walks with the prosthetic leg he received from aid agency Handicap International, into his aunt's house where he has lived since the earthquake. The house has been partially rebuilt with the help of USAID. Pierre was injured when a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti on 12/01/2010 killing more than 200,000 people and injuring more than 300,000. Handicap International estimates that between 2,000 and 4,000 new amputees were caused by the earthquake.
